Sun Lakes (weekend trip, 3 days)

Weekend getaway trip, 3 days, Sun Lakes State park in Eastern Washington.

Stayed at Sun Lakes Resort and had a fantastic time. The park was all but empty as it was still off-season (a group camp nearby provided some entertainment). Found the playground for the kids and basically just relaxed for a while.

Picture this - we're walking toward the playground. A slight hill obscures the view from the road. Megan takes off, running over the hill. We suddenly hear a shriek and Megan is sprinting back over the hill toward us.

Turns out the Canadian Geese (& babies) were out in force. They were friendly and kept their distance - but definitely caught her by surprise.
